Last City Based Endurance Bike for Summer 2018!

Join us on Saturday May 26th for the last official endurance bike ride of summer 2018 before racing begins!

We will begin the ride leaving at 7am from River Heights, and will meet a group at 7:45am at the Legion on De Vries Avenue-3600 De Vries Avenue (the last right turn on Henderson Highway when heading north before the Perimeter turn off).

The ride will proceed northward via the Perimeter to Main Street to River Road. Continue on River Road through Lockport, Selkirk to the Bridge to Nowhere.  Ride will return South via East Selkirk and turn East on Highway 44 before passing under Highway 59 (with a brief stop at the ESSO to fill bottles), and continue to turn South on Highway 206. Continue on Highway 206 to the East Gate of Bird’s Hill Park.  Ride in BHP as much as we want before exiting via the West gate onto Highway 59. Proceed South to the Town of Bird’s Hill and return to Henderson Highway via Hoddinott Road. Ride South on Henderson Highway back to the Legion for a drop off point, or continue the ride South through the city to return to River Heights.

The full ride with a half lap of Bird’s Hill is 125km. The full ride with a full lap of Bird’s Hill park is just under 140km. There are several exit points along the way: Return on at Lockport (40km return), Return at Selkirk (about 50km), Return straight back from the Bridge (skipping the Bird’s Hill Park segment, 75km).

Please be prepared for all weather and any potential bike issues. Bring plenty of food and water and a few dollars to top up depending on your ride plan!
